Arriving home on Hesperidia after a tumultuous visit to another planet, Vaughn and Jan have little time to prepare a reception for the arrival of two unprecedented research parties within days of each other. The Hibaurials, a technologically advanced but reclusive alien race, provide coordinates for several sites of interest across the planet. Jan is immediately suspicious of their intent – at least one of those sites hides a sensitive secret she’s kept for years.

A series of astonishing discoveries during the safari reveals an ancient archaeological mystery with a troubling warning about a recurrent event. Meanwhile, Vaughn and his security team are kept busy dealing with the second party, led by an eccentric trillionaire mining tycoon, who wants to study life on the Hesp for inspiration for a safari park he’s building on another world. But his unorthodox research methods soon clash with the established creature-friendly practices of Alien Safari.
